Here are my predictions for the iPhone in Singapore.

1. Deep market penetration

Looking at the numbers of people willing to buy the iphone "illegally" including myself, the general pop is gonna jump at this. Also the people i know who didnt want to get the iphone cited cost as the factor for them not getting the iphone. Well it now costs less than an ipod and most other phones. 200 - 300 SGD for a iphone/ipod/gps/cool gadget touch screen shit.

2. Change in lifestyle

More people are gonna get a 3G data plan to make the iphone fully functional. GPS friend tacking is gonna give birth to more stalker as well as change the lifestyle of many other normal people. Never get lost and say hello to many last minute outings where your friends happen to be in the same area as you and you get notified!

3. More people will be switching to a mac

To fully experience the features of their iphone and to use it easily.

4. Price war

Between all the handphone companies, which is a good thing always for consumers

Apple is making the prices really low, i suspect they are going to make money off apps, updating the iphone, other 3rd party apps and services like retailer listings on the iphone maps and just really getting a kick out of seeing the other phone companies suffer muahahahhaaha. 3G iphone here i come!
