What the $#*@# is this?
This generates a password that is acceptable by the smu system. It does this using your master password, a string that only you should know and the month that you generated it. In theory it should work with any university or organisation, it is named the SMU password generator as i use it for this purpose and that the result is compliant with the minimum strength of the password required by SMU.
Instructions
This is really easy but let me go through how you use this just in case.
Step 1
Enter your master password below; this is the password you normally use for your emails and such, so that you won’t forget it.
Step 2
This next step is optional but i recommend that you do it for stronger encryption, but for you lazy people skip it! :). Enter a string of numbers/characters of something that only you would know and would remember easily (e.g. your postal code/ IC). You can alternate this from time to time to increase secuirty, but please note that a different string will result in a different code so to retrive a password, use the string you used the last time!
Step 3
Next, enter the month which you are generating this password for. If this is a new password, enter the current month. If you are retrieving a password then enter the month that you generated your old password with. Click generate and it’s done! Simple but if you have any problems please email me at kianhean[@]gmail.com for help.
Important Notice *Read before continuing*
None of the values are saved upon posting, anyway i do not ask for any usernames when generating so its safe :). The strength of this method of obtaining a password relies on the strength of your own master password and the long string that you enter. As this is not some crazy commercial encryption program, I offer no guarantees and will not be responsible for any loss or security breach that you may cause. The source code of this generator will not be publish so as to protect the generation process but let me assure you it uses sha1 encryption and some other stuff to make it as random and strong as possible.
